Citizen Kane, up to no good.

Citizen Kane, starring Orsom Wells, was in my opinion a terrible movie. It was in black and white, which in some cases is good and can signify romance or something else, but in this case it just made the movie more boring than it already was. It seemed like it was supposed to be a serious film, but came off as comedy in some parts like when Charles Foster Kane was tearing his wife's room apart when she left him. His mechanical movements made it seem very fake and brought a lot of comedic value.

Another thing that bothered me, after I had watched the entire film, was the whole suspense to find out what "Rosebud" meant, and it only turned out to be his sled that he had as a child. I thought that it was going be something huge, revealing a big secret, but it wasn't which was disappointing.

The characters also seemed very 'made up' and stylized. Kane always reminded me of a penguin, and his second wife a poodle.

I like characters that have more depth, and plot lines that have more depth, other than reporters searching for the meaning of one word, that ended up not really having an effect on anything.
